In the early 1960's, first contacts were made with the predominantly catholic but very poor population of the Philippines. Attempts to start a mission in Butuan eventually failed, but in the 1990's, another, more successful attempt was made. Within the framework of international communities, our sisters work in catechesis, education for the handicapped, pastoral care of the poor and on justice and peace.

At this moment, we have a relatively large community in Lupao. Additionally, sisters live and work in different places from smaller communities. Lupao also houses a day care center for the handicapped.
